Hey, I'm Abraham. Glad you're here.
I grew up bilingual in Southern California. Spanish at home, English at school, both everywhere in between. It took becoming a teacher to realize that being fluent in two languages isn't just useful. It's a way of understanding how people learn.
For 13 years I worked as a Registered Dental Hygienist. I cleaned teeth, read x-rays, and spent a lot of time explaining complicated dental procedures to nervous people in whichever language made them feel more at ease. I was good at it, and I liked it. And the part that always lit me up — was the teaching. Watching someone go from lost to, “OH, I get it now!”
So I made a plan. In March 2026 I earned my CELTA certification from Cambridge, which is the standard for teaching English as a foreign language. In September 2026 I'm moving to Granada, Spain — to teach, to live, and to expand my skills as an English Language Teacher.
Here's what I want you to know: I've spent most of my adult life explaining things to adults. Real adults with real jobs and limited time. I also know what it's like to sit in a class and feel like, “I’m never going to get it.” And because I'm a native speaker in both languages, I can usually get you out of some tricky situations.
If you're a dental healthcare professional working toward a US license or studying for the TOEFL, I can help you. But most of my students are regular people who just want to feel confident speaking English.
If that sounds like the kind of person you want in your corner, let's talk.
